In the Sviatohirsk territorial community, the provision of social services continues for people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
The provider of social services in the Sviatohirsk territorial community is the municipal institution "Center for the Provision of Social Services," which has 3 departments: home social assistance; social work; natural assistance.
The most relevant social service remains the "home care" service. This social service is provided to 73 low-mobility clients, mostly elderly, who are unable to care for themselves and require external assistance.
Social workers at the center assist their clients with household management, self-care (maintaining personal hygiene, mobility regime, taking medications, feeding, etc.), document processing, making payments, and providing psychological support.
In the social work department, which helps families with children and youth, there are a social worker and a psychologist who develop a plan to overcome difficult life circumstances and assist in its implementation.
The military actions and armed aggression against Ukraine have led to a lack of basic services needed by the residents of Sviatohirsk and neighboring settlements.
Due to the absence of centralized water supply, a relevant service among community residents is laundry and clothing washing, bathing services (bathing), which can be obtained in a mobile sanitary module based on the natural assistance department. In Sviatohirsk, a sanitary mobile module equipped with shower cabins and washing machines has been installed for the residents of the city and the village of Tetyanivka.
The head and social worker of the natural assistance department help distribute and wash clothes. During the day, up to 20 residents use the services of the mobile module. In total, during May – June 2025, laundry services were provided 243 times, and bathing services were provided 389 times. Additionally, in this mobile module, 61 community residents received hairdressing services.
The natural assistance department also provides its clients with humanitarian aid in the form of hygiene products, tonometers, and glucometers.
Considering the active military actions in the community, the team of the social services center actively participates in the evacuation of clients to safer regions of Ukraine.
The social workers of the Sviatohirsk City Council's Center for the Provision of Social Services are responsible and brave individuals who help the community residents daily.
