They thoroughly discussed the current situation in the Lyman hromada with city leaders, as well as support for people who lost their homes or were forced to evacuate due to the war. They expressed sincere gratitude to Westport for the humanitarian assistance and equipment provided, which were used during the liquidation of the consequences of Russian shelling and in rescue operations.
During the conversation, representatives of Donetsk Oblast conveyed greetings from the Rotary Club of Sloviansk and Anatolii Levit, who has been assisting residents of the community for many years. They discussed opportunities for direct cooperation between the Rotarians of Connecticut and Donetsk Oblast, as well as joint humanitarian initiatives.
Oleksiy Vorobyov, Head of the Siversk City Military Administration, presented an award to Marshall Mayer, founder of Ukraine Aid International, Inc., whose organization has been helping Donetsk Oblast for over four years and facilitating partnerships with Connecticut communities.
