The Vuhledar-Volnovakha cultural hub in Dnipro hosted an evening of remembrance dedicated to the bright memory of Roman Lyadsky and Bohdan Skrypnychenko, defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives for its freedom and independence.
The event was organized by the Vuhledar City Military Administration.
During the event, memories were shared about the lives and military exploits of two soldiers from Vuhledar — devoted sons of their land, whose courage will forever remain engraved in the hearts of their families, comrades, and the entire community. The words of remembrance were filled with deep sorrow and, at the same time, sincere pride in their heroism.
Oleksandr Nikolskyi, head of the Veterans Policy Department of the Vuhledar City Military Administration, addressed those present, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the fallen heroes, providing comprehensive support to their families, and passing on the truth about the war to future generations.
Among the participants of the evening was Andriy Karpenko, a long-time friend of the Vuhledar community, head of the military chaplaincy service of the Central Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine, and a lieutenant colonel who has served near Vuhledar since 2016. His presence was further confirmation of the close and sincere connection between the military and the community.
We remember each and every one of them.
We bow our heads in honor of the heroic deeds of our heroes.
Heroes never die — they live on in our memories, in our hearts, and in our shared struggle for a free Ukraine.
