Students from Kremenchuk Elementary School No. 15 donated books collected as part of the “Give a Book to a Friend” campaign to children in the Bakhmut community. The initiative is part of the city’s “Give a Book to a Child” charity campaign and represents another step in community cooperation within the national “Side by Side: United Communities” project.

Hundreds of books—fairy tales, adventure stories, and educational publications—are already on their way to children in the Bakhmut and Lyman communities. For some, there will be a first favorite story; for others, a book that opens up a new world. But the most important thing about this event is the warmth that the children conveyed to their peers. Because along with the books, they sent care, friendship, and the feeling that there are people nearby who truly care about you.

Today, such initiatives carry special significance, as they truly unite, inspire, and remind us that even from a distance, we can be close, side by side.

And it is from such actions that trust grows, mutual support is maintained, and a shared sense is born that goodness always finds its way to those who need it.
