Ukraine Would Not Have Survived Without the Heroism of Our Warriors – President at Ceremony Presenting Apartment Certificates to Heroes of Ukraine and Families of Fallen Defenders

Published 07 December 2025 year, 13:48

Yesterday, on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented 20 certificates for apartments to the Heroes of Ukraine and to the families of warriors awarded this title posthumously.

The Head of State emphasized that it was precisely the courage and determination of Ukrainian defenders that made it possible to preserve the country.

“We must end this war. We must end it with dignity and in a reliable way, so that Russians never come here again. We must guarantee that Ukraine will always have a dignified place in global affairs – and that will undoubtedly happen. But at the same time, we must ensure that the families of our Ukrainian Heroes feel at home in Ukraine. This is a home for all our Heroes, because they defended this home,” the President stressed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Ukrainian warriors and to all the families of Ukrainian Heroes. The memory of the defenders who gave their lives for Ukraine was honored with a moment of silence.

The President presented 20 apartment certificates: 11 to the families of fallen warriors and 9 personally to the Heroes of Ukraine. These are defenders who distinguished themselves in the battles for Mariupol, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Avdiivka, Kreminna, Vuhledar, Shyrokyne, Zmiinyi Island, as well as during the counteroffensive operations to liberate the Kherson, Chernihiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. They represent servicemembers of the Land Forces, Air Force, Navy, Airborne Assault Forces, National Guard, and Medical Forces.
