In the current situation, the Social Protection Department of Druzhkovka City Council continues to perform its functions in the community.

The department receives citizens, provides a hotline, and 5211 recipients of state social benefits receive all social payments and social guarantees provided by the state in a timely manner.

The contingent of recipients of social services includes 975 people who receive comprehensive support. Among them are people with disabilities, the elderly, low-income families, large families, and our Defenders. As of May 2025, 15816 internally displaced persons were registered in the community.

The Department has organized a comprehensive on-site service by the Mobile Social Office to provide access to social services for vulnerable categories of the population. During the first four months of this year, 14 on-site receptions were held at the place of residence of citizens.

A hotline is in place to provide prompt information to city residents. During January-April of this year, more than 3 thousand calls were received. The most frequent requests were for humanitarian assistance (over 1.5 thousand calls), assistance for internally displaced persons (over 600 calls), and for state benefits and compensation (over 500 calls).

More than 2,000 people also applied to the department with various issues, including registration and assistance to IDPs, allocation of state benefits, rehabilitation of children with disabilities, rehabilitation of children, entering personal data into the central database of disabled people, and provision of financial assistance, including burial assistance.

In 2025, 3907 internally displaced persons received humanitarian assistance, as well as 1590 representatives of privileged categories, including persons with disabilities, single mothers, large families and low-income families.

Special attention is paid to the implementation of veterans' policy. The Social Protection Department has been designated as the authorized body for the implementation of veterans' policy in the Druzhkivka City Territorial Community. There are 22 combatants, 7 people with war-related disabilities, 72 family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine, including 5 children under the age of 18.

Over the course of four months, 247 people applied to the department for veteran policy issues related to status, financial assistance, counseling and rehabilitation. Two meetings were held between the families of fallen soldiers and a psychologist, and support was organized for one seriously wounded soldier and one released from captivity.

At the beginning of this year, the Program of Social Protection and Support for Defenders of Ukraine, their families and family members of the fallen and deceased Defenders of Ukraine of the Druzhkivka City Territorial Community for 2025-2026 was approved. The implementation of all Program activities is ensured.
