A Hub of the Druzhkivka Community Opens in Odesa — A New Support Space

Published 20 February 2026 year, 13:56

A hub of the Druzhkivka urban hromada has started operating in the city of Odesa — a modern support space for people who were forced to leave their homes and are now living in southern Ukraine. It provides an accessible environment where individuals can receive consultations, psychological and informational assistance, as well as practical support in job searching and professional development.

Specialists from the Donetsk Regional Employment Service are actively involved in the hub’s work. During outreach receptions, they provide individual consultations, assist with matching актуальні vacancies, explain opportunities for vocational training and retraining, and inform visitors about state and regional support programs.

A special focus is placed on helping internally displaced persons return to active employment as quickly as possible. For people who were forced to leave their homes, employment becomes an important step toward adaptation in a new community and integration into the region’s economic life.

The availability of employment service assistance at people’s current place of residence and its close accessibility significantly shortens the path to restoring professional life.

Overall, this year 1,500 people have received employment service support at various hubs. Among them, 135 have been employed, 22 received vouchers to obtain a new profession or upgrade their qualifications, and another 29 were referred for vocational training. This enables displaced persons to adapt their skills to current labor market needs and expand their employment opportunities.
