V Annual Story Competition "Civil Society, Business and Government - Best Practices of Cooperation"

The Centre for Democracy and Rule of Law announces the start of the application process for the fifth annual Story Contest dedicated to the most successful practices of cooperation between civil society, business and government.

About the competition

The initiative is implemented jointly with the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the National Social Service of Ukraine, and the UN Global Compact in Ukraine.

Intersectoral partnerships are of particular importance in the context of a full-scale war, when an effective response to social challenges is possible only through the combined efforts of different sectors. The competition aims to identify and disseminate the best examples of such cooperation.

Categories of projects

The competition covers nine areas:

  • Help for the military
  • Humanitarian aid and rehabilitation
  • Social projects
  • Reconstruction
  • Creating spaces
  • Education
  • Information campaigns and contests
  • Culture
  • Other

Participants and criteria

Representatives of state and local governments, civil society organizations, and business structures are invited to participate in the competition.

To be included in the final collection, the story must meet the following requirements

  • mandatory participation of representatives of all three sectors (CSOs, business, and government)
  • project implementation during 2024-2025
  • availability of open information about the project
  • measurable results of the activity

Deadlines and deliverables

Applications are accepted until October 15, 2025. Based on the results of the competition, a collection of stories about the most successful joint initiatives will be prepared and published.
