Health Screening 40+ programme kicks off in Ukraine: invitations shall start coming in from 31 January in Diia

Published 27 January 2026 year, 17:19

The Government is gearing up to launch the Health Screening 40+ state programme. Starting 31 January, Ukrainians aged 40 and older will start getting invitations in the Diia app to get a free basic medical check-up. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

The first invitations will be sent to citizens born in the early days of year. Currently, about 1 million Ukrainians have already received information about the programme in Diia.

More than 640 medical institutions across the country have registered to participate in the programme. These are hospitals that meet the established requirements for specialists, equipment and the level of medical services provided. The list of institutions where one can undergo Health Screening 40+ is constantly updated and available at: https://screening.moz.gov.ua/

The programme allows Ukrainians aged 40 and over to get a basic medical examination free of charge and detect cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and mental health disorders at an early stage. All examinations can be done quickly and in one place — without separate visits to a family doctor and without the need to obtain referrals.

"During a full-scale invasion, this is especially important when there is neither the time nor the opportunity to visit doctors," emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko.

How to participate in the Health Screening 40+ programme:

1. 30 days after your date of birthday in 2026, you shall receive a notification in the Diia app.

2. After confirming your participation, UAH 2,000, which can only be used for Health Screening 40+, shall be automatically credited to your Diia Card within a few days.

3. If you do not use Diia, 30 days after your birthday, you can open a special card at a bank and contact the Center for Administrative Services Provision (CASP), where you will get help with registration of your participation and specifying the account to which the funds should be credited.

The Government continues to work to support its citizens and create conditions for maintaining health and well-being, even in the most challenging times.
