The head of Donetsk region took part in the online meeting “Dialogue with Communities” held within the framework of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Head of the Congress Presidium Viktor Mykyta, and Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi.
The main topic was the implementation of educational projects in 2026. Despite all the challenges of the war, efforts continue to systematically develop education and create safe and high-quality conditions for children.
Special attention was given to supporting teachers. Starting from March 16, 2026, payments for professional development have been launched — educators in Donetsk region have already begun receiving them.
Key areas of work for the education system in the regions were also outlined.
“Donetsk region has also actively joined the school nutrition reform, particularly in relocated educational institutions.
In addition, in accordance with the state program, salaries for teaching staff have been increased.
We are working to ensure that even in the most difficult conditions, our children have access to quality, safe, and modern education,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
