Thе Head of Donetsk region expressed gratitude to the soldiers of the 4th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Rubizh”, named after Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhii Mykhalchuk — those who defend Donetsk region every single day.
He presented awards from the Head of the Defense Council of Donetsk Region: the “Defender of Donetsk Region” and “Badge of Honor” insignias.
“These awards symbolize our deep gratitude for your courage, resilience, and devotion to Ukraine.
From the early years, the brigade took part in battles in the east, including on the Svitlodarsk Bulge. During the full-scale invasion, it defended Luhansk region, helped liberate Sviatohirsk and Lyman, and held the defense of Bakhmut.
Today, the brigade’s warriors are standing firm on some of the most difficult frontlines in Donetsk region — the Lyman-Kupiansk, Siversk, and Pokrovsk directions.
I know well the high cost of this defense. From our side, we are providing comprehensive support to our military to ensure they can strike the occupier with dignity.
I thank every soldier for defending our land. Together, we will stand firm and win,”— emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
