Over 144,000 Households in Donetsk Region Reconnected to Power Within a Week

From September 29 to October 5, specialists of DTEK Donetsk Power Grids—with the permission of the military—managed to repair a number of damaged network sections and restore electricity to residents of 34 settlements. More than 144,000 families once again have access to power. The company’s engineers are making every possible effort to restore electricity in the frontline region as soon as conditions allow.

Despite heavy fighting and constant shelling across the region, DTEK Donetsk Power Grids specialists managed over the past week to fully or partially restore power to 34 communities, reconnecting 144,662 households in Donetsk region.

Notably, over the weekend alone, energy crews restored electricity to nearly 95,000 homes across 11 settlements.

Donetsk region remains the site of the most intense hostilities, and damage to energy infrastructure continues due to ongoing attacks. Power engineers will definitely restore electricity to all residents as soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine grant permission to carry out repairs.
