The focus was on supporting foster families, family-type children’s homes, patronage educators, and institutions that provide orphans with care and a family environment. In the context of war and the relocation of such institutions, it is especially important to ensure proper living conditions, access to education, and social support.
“We separately discussed the work of relocated social support centers, health and rehabilitation institutions, and specialized educational facilities. The state is changing its approach: family-type children’s homes will gradually replace boarding institutions. The goal is for children to have not just a roof over their heads, but care, safety, and love.
Another priority is the return of Ukrainian children from abroad. This is a challenge for the entire state and particularly for Donetsk region.
Our task is to do everything possible so that every child grows up in safety and feels cared for,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
