It is here that people receive essential first assistance: hot meals, humanitarian aid kits, medical and psychological support, as well as consultations on further accommodation and evacuation to safer regions of the country.

The head of Donetsk Region spoke with residents of Druzhkivka and nearby villages who had arrived at the hub. People shared why they had delayed the decision to evacuate: some hoped the situation would stabilize, others were reluctant to leave their homes, households, or loved ones. These are difficult and deeply human choices, but today safety must come first.

For many, this hub is not just a stopover point but a place where, after a hard journey, they can catch their breath and feel care and support. Our task is to do everything possible to ensure that everyone passing through such transit points is provided with what they need and feels safe.

“I urge residents of frontline communities not to delay evacuation. Making the decision to leave in time primarily means saving lives. All services are operating, assistance is guaranteed, and everyone who needs support will receive care.

I thank the volunteers, social service workers, medical staff, and everyone who works daily in these hubs, helping people at their most difficult moment.

Donetsk Region stands strong thanks to such people and our shared, responsible work,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
