Alongside Donetsk region, Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia regions also joined the initiative.
“This project is about supporting children who are living in the realities of war. Already this year, 200 children from Donetsk region will have the opportunity to take part in a wellness and psychological recovery program in Zakarpattia.
For many of them, this is a chance to spend at least some time in safety, rest, make new friends, and regain a part of a normal childhood.
It is especially important that the program combines psychological support with sports and team activities. Research shows that children who participate in sports and group activities experience significantly lower stress levels even in wartime conditions.
I thank President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy for such an important initiative, as well as Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration Myroslav Biletskyi and the entire region for their willingness to support our children and create a space of care and peace for them.
