For Donetsk region, this is not a matter of convenience but of safety. People must remain connected with their loved ones, receive emergency alerts, be able to call for help, and contact essential services in critical situations.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Stanislav Prybytko, representatives of relevant government agencies, community military administrations, and mobile network operators.
Participants discussed the actual level of preparedness of base stations, including the availability of generators and batteries, cooperation between communities and operators, fuel supply logistics, backup power connections, and key issues that need to be addressed ahead of potential blackouts.
“I instructed all parties to strengthen coordination between communities and mobile operators and to ensure readiness for autonomous operation.
Communications in a frontline region must function even under the most challenging conditions,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
