Social support for veterans and military families, assistance for residents of the region, foster families, and family-type orphanages were the key topics of today’s expanded meeting with regional administration departments and local communities.
They discussed the types and amounts of social assistance that should be included in local programs for 2026. Filashkin urged responsible planning of payment amounts to ensure decisions are objective and transparent.
Special attention was given to supporting athletes representing Donetsk region at national and international competitions, as well as pupils and students with high academic achievements.
“I emphasized the importance of creating an interactive map of hubs for internally displaced persons — people must clearly see that every hub is functioning and providing real assistance.
We also reviewed several practical issues affecting the region’s daily life. I instructed officials to ensure full readiness of snow-removal equipment for winter — under wartime conditions, this is critical for maintaining access to infrastructure. I also stressed the need to build fuel reserves for generators in case of possible blackouts,” Vadym Filashkin noted.
