The participants discussed the implementation of tasks in the social sector, pressing issues requiring prompt solutions, and further steps to support people through the communities of Donetsk region. In particular, the discussion focused on assistance for internally displaced persons and those who remain in Donetsk region, support for socially vulnerable groups, recreational opportunities for children, as well as rehabilitation and recovery programs for military personnel.
They also reviewed the preparation of medium-term public investment plans for the region and local communities. This is important work that helps identify resources to sustain essential services and community life in the region under wartime conditions.
In addition, information was presented on the implementation of key government healthcare initiatives.
A separate section of the meeting was devoted to the Annual Report of the Ombudsman. Participants reviewed a report on the state of observance and protection of human rights in Donetsk region.
Although the areas discussed were diverse, they all shared a common goal: ensuring that residents of the region and displaced persons receive the support they need, that communities have clear action plans, and that decisions are translated into real results rather than remaining on paper.
