Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin held an expanded meeting with the heads of regional administration departments and military administrations across the region.
The participants focused primarily on support for veterans within local communities. They emphasized the need to provide veterans with dedicated support specialists who will help defenders access the services and assistance they are entitled to. The selection process for the Donetsk Region Veterans Council is also underway. The council is expected to represent the interests of veterans, active service members, and the families of fallen defenders while maintaining close cooperation with local communities and the regional authorities.
The meeting also addressed the work of child welfare services. During the evacuation of families and after their relocation to safer regions, children require continuous protection and professional support.
"We must also preserve the teams of relocated healthcare institutions and support the hospitals that continue operating in the region. Our medical professionals provide care every day to local residents, internally displaced people, and the wounded.
We also focused on our children's education. Learning outcomes must be properly assessed and verified.
We will continue organizing training activities and the Sokil (Jura) patriotic youth game in safer regions and online. These initiatives give children opportunities to learn, communicate, and recover," Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
