During a visit to Dnipro, the head of Donetsk Oblast and the deputy head of the Office of the President, Iryna Vereshchuk, handed over keys to social housing to another 36 families from Mariupol.
Representatives of the city and regional authorities of Dnipro and the city authorities of Mariupol were present at the handover of the keys.
The building, converted from a dormitory, has 192 renovated apartments with furniture and appliances. Priority is given to the most vulnerable: military personnel, veterans, large families, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and pensioners.
The building has children's rooms, a co-working space, a gym, and recreation areas.
The “YaMariupol.Zhitlo” project is being implemented with the support of the French government and the International Organization for Migration.
"I am sincerely grateful to everyone who is involved in solving the housing issue. I am confident that with the support of international partners, local authorities, and philanthropists, we will be able to help as many people as possible.
