On June 28, on the occasion of Constitution Day of Ukraine, a kayaking trip on the Dnipro River took place for veterans, their family members, as well as the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Department of Veteran Policy of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The event was attended by the Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko and the Head of the Department of Veteran Policy of the Regional State Administration Artur Nasibyan.
The event aimed to express gratitude to those who defend the statehood and independence of Ukraine, to honor the memory of the fallen Heroes of Donetsk region, as well as to support the mental health of combat participants.
The format of the trip allowed for a combination of physical activity with psychological relief.
Participants had the opportunity to spend time in nature, communicate in a relaxed atmosphere, share their experiences, receive emotional support, and find new points of support.
Such initiatives contribute to the integration of veterans into peaceful life, strengthen their resilience, and create an environment where everyone feels support and respect.
The Donetsk Regional State Administration will continue to work on creating conditions for comprehensive support for the Defenders of Ukraine.
