They discussed the next steps toward signing a cooperation agreement.
Before the full-scale invasion, Donetsk region was home to the largest Greek community in Ukraine. We know their culture and traditions well, and we value their diligence and entrepreneurial spirit.
In addition, many ethnic Greeks work in the regional administration and local self-government bodies, and our cooperation with the Embassy of Greece in Ukraine has already become a good tradition.
We plan to develop our partnership in supporting the ethnic Greeks of Donetsk region, as well as in the fields of culture, education, sports, and youth initiatives.
Most importantly, signing such a memorandum is another recognition of Donetsk region as a territory of Ukraine and opens the way to EU grant programs and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Together, we are strengthening international ties and working for the future of Donetsk region!
