For the third year in a row, this children’s center has been operating in the villages of Polyana and Karpaty, based on the “Sunny Transcarpathia” and “Karpaty” sanatoriums.
The institution has become a safe space for children of Donetsk region who have experienced loss and are in need of special support: orphans, children of fallen defenders, children of combatants, and those from large or low-income families.
“I spoke with the children, teachers, and the administration of the center. I thanked them for their daily work and assured them of continued support. Even in wartime, children have the right to joy and care, and the ‘Pearl of Donetsk Region’ proves that this is possible.
Since relocating to Zakarpattia, the ‘Pearl of Donetsk Region’ has welcomed more than 6,000 children. Comfortable living conditions, meals, recreational, and wellness programs have been created here.
