“Today I had the honor to present the distinctions of the Head of the Defense Council of Donetsk Region — the badges ‘Defender of Donetsk Region’ and ‘Badge of Honor’ of the Donetsk Regional State Administration — to the servicemen of the 4th Operational Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhii Mykhalchuk ‘Rubizh’ of the National Guard of Ukraine.
These warriors prove their loyalty to the state every day, fighting for freedom and independence in the hottest sectors of the front. Their courage, resilience, and strength of spirit are an example for the entire country.
The state must know its heroes, because it is thanks to their feats that we have a future. Gratitude to the soldiers is not only a sign of respect, but also society’s duty to those who defend Ukraine at the cost of their own lives and health. Their names must be heard everywhere and run like a red thread through the history of our country,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
