Today, the Head of Donetsk Oblast presented "Defender of Donetsk Oblast" breast badges to the Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast, Colonel Mykola Matviienko, and the Commander of the 153rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the AFU, Colonel Valerii Skred.
These are not merely awards—they represent gratitude and honor for the people who bear the burden of war every single day. These leaders stand alongside their people, alongside their units, and alongside a region that lives on despite everything.
Every day, the Donetsk Oblast Police not only fulfill their primary duties but also rescue our people from shelling, risking their own lives. I am deeply grateful to their chief for the coordination of actions, our cooperation, and constant support.
Meanwhile, the 153rd OMBr defends our region in the most difficult sectors of the front line. Success on the battlefield, the morale of the fighters, and the preservation of their lives directly depend on the right actions of their commander.
