Among the participants of the hearings were Deputy Head of the Office of the President Viktor Mykyta, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Korniienko, Members of Parliament, representatives of the government, the State Tax Service, the Treasury, as well as heads of regions and communities from across the country.
For Donetsk region, this is a practical issue of community survival. Due to the war, destruction, and business relocation, local budgets have lost part of their revenues, yet communities continue to provide services to residents, support critical infrastructure, organize evacuations, and assist the military.
The participants discussed expanding the powers of communities in the field of tax administration, digitalization of processes, amendments to the Tax Code, and mechanisms for supporting frontline territories.
“It is important that communities, even under wartime conditions, have real tools to replenish local budgets and ensure stable operations.
I thank the central authorities for their attention to the needs of local communities!” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
