Mykola Ufatov was killed in a Russian attack on April 6, 2026, near his home in the Zaliznychnyi neighborhood of Sloviansk. He had gone for a walk with his 8-year-old son when they came under enemy fire. Mykola was killed instantly, while his son was injured and hospitalized.
Mykola Ufatov was 61 years old. He was born in Sloviansk, studied at School No. 19, and graduated from a railway technical college.
He worked at the Sloviansk railway station as an assistant train driver and, in recent years, as a security guard. Those who knew him remember him as a kind person and a wonderful father.
Mykola was buried at the cemetery in the Zaliznychnyi neighborhood of his hometown.
