In Donetsk Oblast, networks operate under extremely difficult conditions: base stations and equipment are damaged by shelling, and in certain communities, repairs are complicated by the security situation. Therefore, particular attention is paid to backup power supplies and equipping operators with generators.
Separately, meeting participants discussed national roaming, which allows people to remain connected through alternative networks if one operator's infrastructure is damaged.
They also discussed the readiness of communities and operators for prolonged power outages, along with key issues that must be addressed to maintain network operations.
"For a frontline region, stable communication directly affects people's safety. They must be able to receive vital information and contact loved ones and emergency services.
I thank Viktor Mykyta for his attention to regional needs and for coordinating this work," emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
