Vadym Filashkin took part in an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.
The meeting was chaired by Mykola Kalashnyk, Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport.
Participants focused on the readiness of regions to respond to emergencies under martial law. Planning documents must reflect real risks, while civil protection forces must be prepared to act without delay. Therefore, response approaches will be updated to take into account wartime threats and possible disruptions to critical infrastructure.
“Particular attention was paid to low water levels and sustainable water supply. The current hydrological situation requires us to assess potential consequences in advance and prepare solutions that will prevent critical disruptions to water supplies.
Our task is not to wait for an emergency to occur, but to have a clear response procedure and the necessary resources in place beforehand,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
