Participants discussed ensuring uninterrupted telecommunications services amid ongoing Russian attacks.
For the Donetsk region, this is a matter of public safety. When the enemy targets critical infrastructure, reliable communications become essential. They enable effective coordination among emergency services, provide residents with timely information about potential threats and emergency procedures, and ensure a rapid response to the consequences of attacks.
The meeting also focused on maintaining mobile networks during power outages, providing backup power for telecommunications infrastructure, restoring damaged equipment as quickly as possible, and strengthening cooperation between local communities and mobile operators.
“On the frontline, there are no secondary systems. Electricity, water, heating, and communications are the foundation of resilient communities.
I thank the Office of the President, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the mobile network operators, and everyone involved for their joint efforts.
We continue working to ensure that people in the Donetsk region remain connected even under the most difficult circumstances,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
