The meeting of the members of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities from Donetsk region focused on key issues such as the Heroes’ Policy, social support for people, evacuation, energy resilience and preparation for the heating season under extreme conditions, and the formation of community budgets.

Member of Parliament Maria Mezentseva-Fedorenko, Head of the Congress Commission on European Integration and Head of the Permanent Delegation to PACE, reported on the Register of Damages Caused by Russian Aggression, created under the Council of Europe platform.
The participants also discussed the “eRecovery” (єВідновлення) program. In the government-controlled part of Donetsk region, more than 42,000 residential buildings have been damaged or destroyed, including almost 4,000 apartment blocks.
Other topics included the operation of heating, water, and power supply systems, and the rapid response of regional administration services, local military administrations, and utility enterprises.
“I emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and protection of children’s rights — those who have become hostages of war. It is our duty to do everything possible so that every child feels safe and has a future,” — Vadym Filashkin stressed.
