There has already been a positive experience this year: in the summer, 200 children from the Donetsk region underwent health and rehabilitation programs in Zakarpattia. Among them were children from military families, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and children in need of special social attention and support.
It is very important that this project continues. Its goal is to help children from frontline areas undergo psychosocial recovery, take a break from the constant stress of war, and regain their strength.
“Donetsk Oblast is already preparing for the next phase: we are assessing needs, working with families, and coordinating with host regions.
I would like to thank Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for this important initiative and everyone who is bringing it to life.
We will do everything we can to ensure that ‘Carpathian Shift’ continues and that as many children from Donetsk Oblast as possible can take advantage of this opportunity,” emphasized Vadym Filashkin.
