Together with Oleksandr Nadtochii, Head of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as heads of the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk military administrations Oleksandr Honcharenko and Vadym Liakh, the Head of Donetsk region met with a joint delegation from the Embassy of the French Republic in Ukraine and the UNHCR Representation in Ukraine.
The delegation was led by Gaël Veyssière, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine, and Bernadette Castel-Hollingsworth, UNHCR Representative in Ukraine.
The participants discussed the humanitarian and security situation in the region, evacuation of the population, and the key needs of Donetsk region amid the full-scale war.
“International partners have supported Donetsk region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine — providing comprehensive assistance and remaining reliable allies during this difficult time for the region.
I am grateful to our French partners and UNHCR for their attention to Donetsk region and their readiness to continue supporting us,” Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
