On April 20, an excursion to the PAVLYK furniture factory took place in the village of Bedevlia, Zakarpattia region. The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Employment Center in cooperation with the “Yednannia” hub. It brought together many internally displaced persons eager to learn more about real production processes, working conditions, and employment opportunities.
Currently, the factory is looking for supply managers, a workshop supervisor, carpenters, packers, wood product assemblers, varnishers, sanders, an engineer-technologist, a furniture designer, and CNC machine operators.
Participants explored the enterprise “from the inside” — from production workshops to finished products. This format allowed them to experience the team environment, work pace, and day-to-day job requirements.
Particular interest was sparked by the opportunity for training without prior experience: the employer is ready to train newcomers under the guidance of experienced mentors, which became an important factor for many participants.
Working conditions were also discussed in detail: a convenient 5/2 schedule, official employment with a full social package, salaries starting from UAH 20,000 plus bonuses for quality and initiative, free transportation to and from work, meals, and more. This helped participants form a realistic understanding of working at the enterprise. People asked many questions, showing interest in the production process, training conditions, and development prospects.
Such on-site events once again prove their effectiveness: they not only help people learn about vacancies but also make informed decisions by seeing their potential workplace in person. During the excursion, six participants exchanged contacts with the employer to further discuss employment opportunities and interviews.
