Sporting victories begin long before the starting signal. They are built through the daily dedication of athletes and coaches—through discipline, trust, high standards, and the ability to maintain confidence in one's own potential.
Since the beginning of 2026, athletes from the Donetsk region have won 330 medals of various distinctions at international competitions. Behind every one of these achievements are people who, despite losing their home training facilities and being forced to relocate, preserved their teams and continued their work.
Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin presented state and regional awards, sports titles, and certificates for financial rewards to the region's top athletes and coaches.
"This is well-deserved recognition of achievements that make the entire Donetsk region proud.
We continue to support the sporting community of the Donetsk region: 80 athletes and 30 coaches receive regional scholarships, while 20 more athletes have joined the reserve sports team.
I thank the coaches who continue to stand by their athletes, restore their confidence, and lead the Donetsk region to new victories," Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
