On July 2, at the event “Donetsk Region on the Map of Time,” Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, ceremoniously presented war veterans with certificates entitling them to financial compensation for the purchase of housing.
The presentation of these housing certificates was made possible thanks to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, with financial support from the European Union as part of the “Ukraine Facility” initiative.
Providing housing for war veterans and family members of fallen defenders is one of the priorities of the state’s veteran policy, and the presentation of these certificates is a concrete result of state support and a step toward ensuring a dignified return to civilian life for those who defended Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Obtaining one’s own home is an important social guarantee and a sign of the state’s gratitude to the defenders who protected Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Additionally, we would like to note that the “Defenders of Donetsk Region” chatbot on Telegram (t.me/ZakhysnykyDonechchyny_bot) is available to provide information and assistance to veterans and their families.
