This was announced by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and head of the regional military administration.
In the under-110-kg weight class among U23 athletes, Danylo won the snatch with a lift of 178 kg. In the clean and jerk, he lifted 208 kg and finished second. With a total of 386 kg, he also won silver, losing only to another Ukrainian, Mykyta Rubanovsky from the Chernihiv region.
Danylo is an International-Class Master of Sports of Ukraine, an athlete at the Donetsk Oblast School of Higher Sports Excellence, a graduate of the S. Bubka Donetsk Oblast Specialized Vocational College of Sports and the Oblast Children’s and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve in weightlifting, and a scholarship recipient from the Donetsk Oblast State Administration.
The athlete is trained by Honored Coach of Ukraine Ihor Obukhov and coach Volodymyr Zhoga.
