Who needs to undergo identification?
Identification is required for recipients of pensions/insurance benefits who:
🔹 live in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine under Russian control;
🔹 temporarily reside abroad (for at least 183 days).
The identification deadline is annually by December 31.
How can you undergo identification?
You can choose one of four convenient methods:
1️⃣ Online — via the web portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine portal.pfu.gov.ua
, after logging in to your personal account with a qualified electronic signature Diia.Signature (“Diia ID”). (Video instruction: https://t1p.de/vxr1j).
2️⃣ Via video conference — submit an application to undergo identification through video conferencing on the Pension Fund’s web portal portal.pfu.gov.ua
by filling out the relevant electronic form (instruction 👉 https://t1p.de/x1206), or via the Pension Fund Contact Center by calling: 0 800 503 753, (044) 281-08-70, (044) 281-08-71.
3️⃣ Through Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad — recipients temporarily residing outside Ukraine may contact a Ukrainian embassy or consulate to obtain a certificate confirming that the person is alive.
📩 This certificate, along with a written application for the continuation of pension (monthly lifetime allowance) or insurance benefit payments (in free form), must be sent to the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Region by post to the following address:
49008, Dnipropetrovsk region, Dnipro, 106 Nadii Aleksieienko St.
📍 The certificate may also be submitted electronically via the Pension Fund web portal portal.pfu.gov.ua
. In the “Regarding Pension Provision” menu, select “Changes to the Pension Case”, fill in the required fields, and upload a scanned copy of the certificate issued by the Ukrainian diplomatic mission abroad along with identity documents.
4️⃣ In person — at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or a banking institution, by presenting an identity document (passport).
Important! Persons residing in or leaving from the temporarily occupied territories are entitled to pension/insurance payments only if they are not receiving such payments from the Russian pension system.
