From September 8 to 14, emergency repair crews of DTEK Donetsk Grids, with permission from the military, managed to repair a number of network damages and restore electricity to residents of 17 settlements. As a result, 40,500 families once again have access to electricity. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore supply in the frontline region as soon as the military and sappers allow.
Heavy fighting in the region continues to cause constant blackouts in cities and villages across Donetsk region. Despite the danger, over the past week DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to fully or partially restore power in 17 settlements. 40,579 households now have electricity again.
Over the weekend alone, power engineers were able to restore electricity to 25,200 households in the frontline area.
Donetsk region remains the site of the most intense fighting. Damage to energy infrastructure continues due to constant shelling. Power engineers will restore electricity to all residents of the region as soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine grant permission for repair work.
