A teacher from Donetsk Oblast has completed an internship in the United States

Published 18 March 2026 year, 14:07

Olena Fedorovych, a history and law teacher at the Illinivskyi Secondary School in the Kramatorsk District of Donetsk Oblast, has successfully completed an international professional internship in the United States as part of the prestigious Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program.

This large-scale initiative is funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and administered by the international organization IREX. The main goal of the program is to exchange best educational practices, develop leadership skills among teachers, and establish global partnerships.

During her internship in the U.S., Olena Fedorovych had the opportunity to immerse herself in a different educational environment: she participated in intensive professional training sessions and academic seminars; visited American educational institutions, studying their approach to organizing the educational process; and established professional contacts with educators from around the world.

The most valuable aspect of international exchanges is the opportunity to bring new experiences home. Upon returning to Ukraine, the teacher plans to actively implement modern approaches in her lessons, share the knowledge and tools she has gained with her colleagues, and promote the development of international cooperation in the field of education.

The participation of teachers from the Donetsk region in programs of this caliber is a powerful tool for improving the quality of our education and integrating it into the global community. Even under the most challenging conditions, our educators continue to learn and grow tirelessly in order to provide the best possible education for their students.
