Winter is a peak season for tire service shops, as drivers prepare their vehicles for the cold months. Now, residents of Cherkaskе village in the Kramatorsk district can access high-quality services close to home: a modern tire service shop has opened in the community, founded by veteran Mykola Holub.
Mykola launched his entrepreneurial journey in February 2024. He had a clear vision: to create a workshop where drivers of cars, trucks, and special equipment could receive comprehensive, professional, and safe service. Modern equipment, high-quality service, and customer comfort — that’s how the veteran envisioned his business.
To turn his idea into reality, Mykola took advantage of the Government’s eRobota grant program for veterans and their families. Wanting to confidently navigate every stage of the process, he turned to the Employment Service — and specialists supported him throughout the preparation of his business plan.
The result followed quickly: Mykola won the grant competition and purchased the equipment needed to set up his tire service workshop.
After launching the business, the veteran once again approached the Employment Service, this time in search of an employee. Recruiters swiftly found a suitable candidate for the position of rolling stock repair mechanic. Today, the workshop employs Daniyal, an internally displaced person who also received an opportunity to rebuild his professional path.
The cooperation between the employer and the Employment Service continues: Mykola was offered additional support programs that can help grow the business and create new jobs.
The grant program and the Employment Service’s support helped the veteran confidently build his future after military service.
