At the initiative of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, a program is being implemented to provide free services for the correction of scarred skin resulting from injuries and burns, which will run through 2026. As of now, 111 people are receiving treatment under the program.
🔷️Who is eligible for these services?
▪️ combatants
▪️ individuals with war-related disabilities
▪️ military personnel, including foreign nationals and stateless persons, who participated in the defense of Ukraine
▪️ members of civil protection services, the State Border Guard Service, and the Special Operations Directorate of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU)
▪️ police officers performing duties in combat zones or directly participating in combat operations
❕️Important:
Services are provided if all stages of surgical procedures, burn care, and primary treatment have been fully completed, scars have already formed, and there are no contraindications to the use of laser correction for scarred skin.
🔷️What is included in the treatment course?
▪️ Initial consultation with a doctor and development of a personalized treatment plan
▪️ Scar correction procedures (laser therapy and injection methods)
▪️ Pre-session medical evaluation before each session
▪️ Medical supervision throughout the entire course of treatment
▪️ Telemedicine consultations—as needed
▪️ Training in self-skin care
▪️ Clinical evaluation of treatment results
▪️ Final consultation with follow-up recommendations
🔷️What do you need to receive assistance?
▪ A referral from a family doctor, a specialist, or a military unit (for active-duty military personnel).
▪ A set of documents: passport, RNOKPP (if available), ID card (for combat veterans or people with disabilities), or a certificate confirming direct participation in combat operations.

To use the service, you must contact the service provider directly with the appropriate application and consent to the processing of personal data.
