Today we celebrate Ukrainian Statehood Day, a holiday that emphasizes the deep historical roots of our state, from Kievan Rus to modern history, through all stages of the struggle for independence.
Today, this event is particularly painful and inspiring at the same time. We live in a time when the people of Ukraine are paying the highest price for independence, sovereignty, and statehood.
Donetsk region is the eastern outpost of Ukraine. In every village, city, and family, there are stories of courage and indomitability.
And it is here that true faith in an independent Ukraine is born, faith in what we preserve, what we fight for, and what we will pass on to our children.
And our children, quick-witted and intelligent, courageous and devoted, creative and talented, are learning to support their parents and defend their country.
This is exactly what the participants of the open video marathon “You are in my thoughts, Ukrainian State...” with the participation of young Donetsk residents are like — full of warmth and sincerity, patriotism and hope.
The campaign was initiated by the Donetsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Culture with the support of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Regional State Administration.
Warm words addressed to their native country and sincere wishes for a happy future in a peaceful Ukraine are collected under the hashtag #ТиУдумкахМоїхДержавоУкраїнська.
