Leaders of the structural units of the social and humanitarian block of the Donetsk Regional State Administration visited servicemen who were released from captivity and seriously injured servicemen who are undergoing rehabilitation at the state medical and social center in the Kyiv region.

The center provides comprehensive medical, rehabilitation, and social assistance to individuals covered by the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection." The visit aimed to identify the current needs of veterans and provide the necessary support.

A Working Group for coordinating assistance to war veterans, servicemen, and families of the deceased (missing or dead) operates in the Donetsk region, which is responsible for ensuring the implementation of state guarantees, rights, and social support for these categories. Special attention is paid to the support of individuals released from captivity and injured servicemen.

As of today, 134 servicemen released from captivity and 11 seriously injured are registered with the relevant structures. As part of the Working Group's activities, assistance is provided in the processing and restoration of personal documents, obtaining material support, ensuring social housing in safe regions, restoring bank accounts, and resolving legal and domestic issues.

The defenders of Ukraine deserve constant attention and support from society. Therefore, it is important not only to respond promptly to their needs but also to ensure proper conditions for quality recovery and further integration into life after service. We strive for every fighter to feel care, attention, and gratitude for their service.
