Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and Chief of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadym Filashkin reported that two people were killed and ten others injured as a result of overnight Russian strikes on Kramatorsk.
During the night, Russian forces dropped nine guided aerial bombs on the city. One of the bombs struck a residential apartment building directly.
In total, nine apartment buildings and three medical facilities were damaged.
According to Filashkin, the attack targeted civilians in their homes while they were asleep. He stated that the strikes were carried out at night, when families were in their apartments and least able to protect themselves, describing the attack as a deliberate assault on civilians intended to kill as many people as possible and spread fear.
"The enemy repeatedly demonstrates its true nature. Unable to fight the military on equal terms, it drops aerial bombs on a sleeping city. Every life taken will be avenged," Vadym Filashkin emphasized.
