🔹The government has expanded and improved the support program for veterans who lost their homes due to Russian aggression – amendments were made to the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 779 of July 5, 2024, and No. 252 of March 7, 2025.
From now on, not only defenders who have lost or damaged their homes as a result of hostilities or in temporarily occupied territories, but also veterans of war from among internally displaced persons who do not have their own homes or lived in homes that were not their property, can receive funds to cover the cost of renting (subletting) housing.
🔹Veterans who were deprived of their personal freedom by the aggressor state in connection with the defense of Ukraine and who returned from captivity and whose homes remained in the territory occupied by the Russian Federation will also be entitled to rental compensation.
In other words, all veterans who lost their homes as a result of Russian aggression will be able to receive funds from the state to cover their rent.
In addition, the funds will be distributed among the regions in three stages: by March 15, June 15, and October 15 — so that payments are made on time.
And monetary compensation for rent (subletting of housing) can be extended for another 6 months if the defenders have no other housing.
🔹Where to submit the application?
Through the structural unit responsible for veteran policy at the place of rented housing;
The Administrative Services Center (ASC) at the place of rented accommodation (service 02606).
You can submit an application for compensation in person or send the documents by mail (registered letter).
If necessary, the structural unit assists the applicant in preparing the documents (checks the submitted documents, determines the amount of compensation).
A specialist in supporting veterans can also help with the preparation of documents.
