To mark World Vyshyvanka Day, child welfare services in the communities of Donetsk Oblast joined a large-scale international initiative.

The joint campaign aims to demonstrate to the world the unity of the Ukrainian people and the rich cultural heritage of the Donetsk region, as well as to draw special attention to the protection of the rights of children growing up in wartime conditions.

For the children of Donetsk Oblast, traditional Ukrainian attire is not merely festive clothing. It is a symbol of connection to their homeland, deep cultural roots, and an unbreakable spirit. By wearing embroidered shirts alongside the children from institutions currently evacuated abroad, service workers declare to the whole world the continuity of our traditions despite all security challenges and distance.

Today, the vyshyvanka is not just clothing; it is our spiritual armor and the genetic code of the nation. By wearing national attire alongside the children of Donetsk Oblast, we demonstrate to the whole world that our roots are strong, and our future is united and free.

Participation in this global flash mob has become part of comprehensive regional cultural initiatives. These initiatives aim to promote the unique local traditions of the Donetsk region and actively integrate children—particularly those evacuated to other regions of Ukraine and abroad—into the national cultural and spiritual space.

Show the whole world the power of our unity! Post your own photos in traditional Ukrainian attire and add the hashtag: #ВишиванкаЄднає
