The Ministry of Veterans Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has launched a new service on the Diya portal—the ability to obtain an extract from the Unified State Register of War Veterans (USRWW) regarding the status of a veteran or a family member of a fallen Defender.
This extract will help confirm your status with government agencies, apply for state-provided benefits and social guarantees, and protect the rights of family members of fallen soldiers.
🔹Who Can Use This Service
Submit an application if your information is in the USR and you have one of the following statuses:
- combatant;
- war veteran;
- person with a war-related disability;
- family member of a fallen (deceased) war veteran;
- a family member of a fallen (deceased) Defender of Ukraine;
- a victim of the Revolution of Dignity;
- a person with special merits to the Motherland.
If your information is not in the Unified State Register of Veterans, you will not be able to obtain an extract through the Diya portal.
🔹How to obtain an extract
Log in to the Diia portal and select the service “Extract from the Veterans Registry” at https://diia.gov.ua/services/vytiah-z-reiestru-veteraniv in the Veteran PRO section.
1️⃣Check the application details and click “Done.”
2️⃣Diya will forward the request to the Unified State Register of Veterans and notify you of its successful submission.
3️⃣Once the request has been processed, the result will be sent to your personal account on the Diya portal and to your email.
If the request is processed successfully, you will receive a PDF file containing the extract. The document will include a QR code for verifying its authenticity and the digital signature of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
We’ve also expanded the scope of this service. From now on, children of veterans—including those under the age of 23—or their legal representatives will be able to obtain an extract through the Administrative Service Centers (ASC). The document will be required to apply for state-funded educational support.
The service was implemented by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, with the support of the “Diya Support Project,” which is being implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ukraine with funding from Sweden.
