Every time the police enter the city, it is a game of survival, as enemy drones actively hunt for their vehicles. These bodycam footage shows the rescue of residents of a private sector and three people who left the village of Zarichne on foot, where heavy fighting continues.
Two women and a man covered about 12 kilometers of dangerous road to avoid being captured by the occupiers. Tying several bags to a bicycle, they made their way through shelling and heavy rain to a place where the "white angels" could pick them up.
"It was terrible! We hid from the drones under trees and crawled through the weeds. And then it rained so hard that we were dripping wet," says an elderly resident of Zarichne.
Police also evacuated several residents of Lyman. Due to the threat of drone attacks, passengers had to get out of their cars and hide while the crew watched the sky.
All the evacuated people are now safe.
