Police officers are rescuing people from the most dangerous, closest to the enemy areas of the frontline city. All evacuees are now in safer regions of Ukraine.
A 42-year-old resident of Kostiantynivka contacted the police asking to evacuate her along with her 4-year-old daughter Milana. The woman explained that she could no longer stay in the city due to daily shelling: “The child needs to develop, go to kindergarten, play with other children, and not hide from shelling.”
The police took the family to a shelter, from where volunteers helped them reach Kirovohrad region.
Another call came from an area that regularly comes under enemy fire: it was necessary to evacuate an elderly woman who can hardly walk. Due to destroyed roads and the constant threat of new attacks, it was impossible to reach her home by car, so the police covered part of the distance on foot.
At that time, explosions were heard in the city — the enemy was again shelling residential areas. Law enforcement officers took the pensioner along with her beloved cat to a safe place and handed her over to the medics of the humanitarian mission "Proliska." The woman is now in Poltava region.
